Add classes

There are three main ways to enrol classes on EP, one by one individually, in bulk via our Enrolment Portal or through one of our supported rostering integrations.

This article covers how you're able to manually create a class and populate this with your students.

In this Article:

Adding a class

From your Classes dashboard, click the Create classes button.

In the prompt, type your class name and select the year level and subject area that applies to the class.

You can also set the Academic Year while creating the class to the current year, or the next

When clicking the year level and subject dropdowns, you will also be able to search for your desired selection. If your class has more than one year level and/or subject, you can select multiple by using the tick boxes.

Note: You’ll be able to set whatever year level and subject you desire against your class however your students will only have access to content for the subjects set if your school has an active subscription for this. You can find more information on subscriptions here.

All done! You’ll be taken straight to the new class where you can start adding your students.

Adding students

Once you've created your class, you can either add students one by one or have your students add themselves using a class join code. Once added, they'll be able to access any content your class has a subscription for and view any tasks or assessments you may have assigned.

Making further changes

Should you need to edit class details after adding your class, you can do so via the Settings space. You can find a full breakdown of the options here.

Adding many classes (including for other teachers)

EP offers several bulk enrolment options, making it easy to have multiple classes (or an entire school) up and running quickly.

EP Enrolment Portal

The EP Enrolment Portal can quickly process large amounts of student data in spreadsheet format.

Navigate to the Enrolment Portal by clicking the Import spreadsheets button from your classes dashboard. Here you can download one of our formatted templates, add your data and upload this for automatic processing.

See more on how to do this in our help guide here.
