How does the point-scoring system work?
Points are earned toward a competition by completing work in the relevant subject.
- Every correct answer earns a point!
- Competition points are separate from full-year points (earned from completing tasks and assessments throughout the rest of the year).
- Any work that students have already learnt outside of the competition can be completed from scratch for points during the competition.
For full details on how the points/scoring system work, check out our full guide.
What are the rules?
At EP we take competition integrity very seriously. Any students found to be competing unfairly may have their points removed. See our full event rules (including those for the ANZ World Series) in our article here. We encourage all students and teachers to read these rules before competing in any EP event.
- EP will assign specific content that is eligible to earn points towards the EP ANZ Championships. Students can find what content is available by navigating to the Competition from their Student Dashboard.
- This excludes the Global Languages Championship, where all EP Languages activities are eligible for points (including teacher-made content).
- Students can revisit content to earn additional points. After their first attempt at any question, they can complete it again after 24 hours. This is within competition rules. See how our points and scoring system works here.
What prizes are available?
