Setting up Safe Exam Browser with Schoolbox and EP
If your school uses Schoolbox, you’re able to run Assessments on Education Perfect through Safe Exam Browser via the Schoolbox platform.

Your school needs to have an integration set up between Schoolbox and EP to use this feature.

How does it work?
Once Safe Exam Browser is enabled in Schoolbox, teachers can embed EP Assessments and choose for students to complete the work using Safe Exam Browser.
This temporarily turns a student's computer into a secure workstation. Access to other websites and applications is controlled, and unauthorised resources are unable to be used.
Video calls (Zoom, Teams) can be used to monitor students while they complete the assessment, but it’s important that students enter the call prior to opening their Assessment in Safe Exam Browser.
Enabling Safe Exam Browser
Before Safe Exam Browser can be used, an administrator needs to switch this setting on in Schoolbox. Here's how:
- Once logged in, the user needs to click into Administration from their user settings.
- Here, hover over the LMS option, and click LMS Policy.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page shown, and toggle the Enable Safe Exam Browser option to ON.
- Click Save, all done!
