Assigning an EP Create activity

Once you've created your activity in EP Create, assigning it to your class is quick and easy. Here’s how to get it set up for your students.

  1. You can assign an activity in two ways:
    1. Within a new activity
    2. From the EP Create workspace, using the list of existing activities
  2. Find the activity you'd like to assign.
  3. Click the Assign button next to it.

The Assign Activity window opens.

Note: As soon as an activity is assigned, it is automatically shared and becomes visible to other teachers at your school in the EP Create workspace. This makes it easier for colleagues to reuse and collaborate on content.

Selecting a class or set of students

Teachers can specifically assign activities to single or multiple classes and the students within. Assignments can also be given to selected students.

Selecting a due date

By default, all assignments will have an immediate start date and have an end date set for seven days from the moment of assignment. Teachers can modify this by using the start/end date picker.

Selecting a title

By default, all assignments will have the name of the activity underneath, but teachers can change this to whatever they would like.

Editing an assignment

Once an activity has been assigned, if needed, a teacher is able to edit the classes and students it is given to, along with changing the title.

Editing assignment time

Teachers can change the start date of the assignment up until it has started. Once the start date has passed, the assignment time is locked to allow for any students underway and doing the work.

Deleting an assignment

You can delete an assignment from the Details or Report pages after it has been assigned. This is useful for removing tasks that were assigned in error or are no longer needed.

To delete an assignment:

  1. Go to the Classwork tab for the class.
  2. Select the assignment you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete at the top of the page and confirm the deletion.

The assignment will be removed, and you will be redirected to the EP Create activities page.
