How to export class lists from Timetabling Solutions V10

As covered in our Enrolment Portal guide, the most efficient way to get your classes and students enrolled onto Education Perfect is by uploading a file that contains data from your export to our new Enrolment Portal. Check out our handy templates within the portal that can be utilised.

This guide details how you can export this information from Timetabling Solutions V10.

Before exporting class lists, the student timetable data in The Timetabler must be complete otherwise exported files will also not be complete. It is important to check this before exporting.

You will also need Version 10.1.0.16 or above to select the Education Perfect option in the Export Wizard.

Generating an EP export for the first time

  1. Open the File menu from The Timetabler.
  2. Select Export Data and then Admin System… from the options listed.
  3. The Export Wizard will now open.
  4. Click the drop-down menu and select Education Perfect from the list. (Important: If Education Perfect is not an option, you may need to update your Timetabler to Version 10.1.0.16 or above. You can do so by clicking 'Check for updates' on the Timetabler V10 welcome page.)
  5. Click Next.
  6. Choose a location to save the exported files in (select a place you will easily be able to find).
  7. Click Export.
  8. Click Yes and then Save and Exit to close the Export Wizard.
  9. Navigate to the location the files were saved in to view the exported files (by going to the file explorer and navigating to the appropriate folder).

Quick exports

  1. Reopen The Timetabler and click Open Last Used Timetable File.
  2. Ensure that Education Perfect is listed in the Quick Export section of the page and select the Quick Export button.

  4. Click OK and close the program.

Use your exported files to import into our Enrolment Portal.

The exported file from Timetabler V10 should be ready to import straight to our new Enrolment Portal. Once imported, you'll be able to instantly add classes, teachers and students to the platform. Check out Step 2 of the guide linked above for more information on the formatting requirements of our portal.
