NZ EP Languages Championships 2023

We are excited to announce that the 2023 EP NZ Languages Championships is coming up soon!

When is the event?

The NZ Languages championship will take place from 9am on the 8th of August until 3pm on the 10th of August.

Who can take part?

All students across New Zealand are eligible to enter.

Any students with an existing EP account with access to Languages subjects will be automatically enrolled to compete.

You are welcome to enrol additional students for no extra charge for the competition. Please click here for options, and ensure you note that the details submitted are for this event!

How do we enter?

Register for the event using this sign up page, and we’ll be in touch with next steps.

Please note the form is for teachers only - students need to register via their teacher.

How do students compete?

Students will log into EP using their accounts, and earn points by completing any languages content within our core languages subjects.

If unsure, please click Compete within the competition tile to access competition content.

You’ll be able to see who’s winning on the event scoreboard!

We recommend that teachers and students check out our guide on taking part in EP competitions.

How much time will students need to dedicate to the competition?

There is no set amount of time that is required to compete.

Timing is flexible to suit the schedules of students and schools, and students can compete as little or as much as they'd like.

Are there any prizes?

Yes! Students who earn enough points will be awarded certificates. These are available to download by teachers after the event takes place.

Competition rules

At EP, we take competition integrity very seriously. We recommend that all teachers and competing students check out our full competition rules.

Any students found to be earning points unfairly will be disqualified from the event.
