FAQs: complimentary access to EP during COVID-19 shutdowns

What's happening?

Due to the large number of schools affected by COVID-19-related closures on short notice, EP is providing all schools with free access to our platform and prebuilt, curriculum-aligned learning resources until 1 May 2020. Our goal is to make it as simple as possible for schools to transition to remote teaching and learning during a stressful and uncertain period. 

What does the access include?

Schools will have access to the full EP Suite of subjects, including Maths, Science, English, Humanities, Foreign Languages, Digital Technology, Health & PE and more. 

Is there any obligation to pay? 

No. Signing up for access during this period does not oblige you to subscribe to EP.

For how long will we have free access?

Schools will be able to access EP free of charge until May 1, 2020. Beyond that date, we will work with schools on a case-by-case basis to develop a longer-term strategy.

Is the complimentary access available to homeschoolers?

Not at this time. To ensure we can support as many teachers and students as possible as they undertake this transition, we are restricting free access to traditional schools. Homeschoolers are able to subscribe to one or more EP subjects online for a monthly rate. 

How do I get access?

Teachers can register for access on our website. School District Superintendents and other representatives of multiple schools are invited to contact global@educationperfect.com to discuss rollout strategies. Students and parents are unable to register directly, but are welcome to distribute this information to their teachers. 

What is your Privacy Policy? 

We take the privacy and security of student data very seriously. You can access our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Data Processing Addendum for schools subject to the GDPR on our website.

Can the EP website sustain the additional traffic? 

Yes! EP has been in business for over a decade and is used by millions of students from thousands of schools around the world, both at school and at home. We run multiple international competitions annually, which significantly increase the traffic on our site, without impacting day-to-day usage. Our platform is cloud-hosted, which enables rapid automatic scaling of the system in response to demand. Additionally, we have a dedicated platform team who monitor the ongoing usage and performance of the applications.
