What is Zoom and how do I use it?
Zoom is a Video Communications service that offers software that combines video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration.
If you have a Zoom appointment with one of our representatives, they'll contact you before the call with a link that you'll need to open at the scheduled time. To join the call, click on the link and in the new window, select Open Zoom Meetings.
Multiple people can join a single Zoom Meeting.
If you are entering the Zoom meeting before the scheduled time, you will be presented with the following pop up. It will let you know when the meeting is scheduled to begin.
If the Zoom meeting is active, you will be presented with the following screen. The member of our team who is hosting will let you in shortly.
You can then join with your Computer Audio. If you like, you can also select test speaker and microphone to ensure that your audio is working.
In the bottom, left-hand corner of the screen are the microphone settings. You can click this option to mute and unmute your microphone. If your microphone is muted, there will be a red line through this icon.
If you would prefer, you can also ask questions or make comments through the chat option.
This will open up a window that you can use to send written messages.
When the meeting has concluded, you can select Leave Meeting in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
