How do I reset my students’ passwords?
Teachers on EP can instantly reset student passwords – all from within their accounts. This article outlines how this can be achieved.

- Resetting passwords for multiple students
- Using Single Sign On (no passwords)
Resetting passwords for a single student
To easily search for and find a specific user at your school, you'll need to navigate to the School Account area. You can do this by clicking your name in the bottom left of the screen, and then School Account in the pop-up menu.
Search for, and click upon a student’s name to access their account within the People area of your school.
From their profile page, select Reset Password.
A temporary password will be generated for the student selected to pass on to them. If a student wishes to have their password reset via email, they can use the ‘Forgot Password’ flow on EP’s main login page.
Resetting passwords for multiple students
As a teacher, you can select multiple students in your class to have their passwords reset at once. From the People tab in a Class View, choose which students you would like reset passwords for using the checkboxes beside student names and select the Reset passwords option.
Either confirm with the ‘Reset and download temporary password .csv’ or cancel. You can also remove any student selected from this modal.
Confirming this dialogue will automatically download the .csv to pass on temporary details to your student/s.
Using Single Sign On (no passwords)
If your school has SSO enabled, staff and students will need to log in through your school’s portal instead of the main EP login page. For further help logging into your school’s portal, check out our guide here.
