How do I reset my students’ passwords?

Teachers on EP can instantly reset student passwords – all from within their accounts. This article outlines how this can be achieved.

Resetting passwords for a single student

To easily search for and find a specific user at your school, you'll need to navigate to the School Account area. You can do this by clicking your name in the bottom left of the screen, and then School Account in the pop-up menu.

Search for, and click upon a student’s name to access their account within the People area of your school.

From their profile page, select Reset Password.

If the student has an email associated with their account, a password reset email will be sent through to them. If they don’t have an email, you’ll be able to generate a temporary password to pass on to them.

Resetting passwords for multiple students

We’re currently making some updates to the new EP teacher interface. Our Development Team is working to re-establish the ability for teachers to reset multiple students' passwords at once. Until this work has been completed, passwords will need to be reset one-at-a-time. We're sorry for any inconvenience this causes - please feel free to reach out to our Support Team for assistance with this.

This functionality will return in early 2025.

Using Single Sign On (no passwords)

If your school has SSO enabled, staff and students will need to log in through your school’s portal instead of the main EP login page. For further help logging into your school’s portal, check out our guide here.
