Assign work to students
Once you have added some classes and students, the next step is to set your work for students to complete.
Find content
First, navigate to the Discover tab. Use the filters to locate curriculum-aligned topics and activities.
In your subject and topic of choice, you’ll see a list of lessons sequenced to progress students through units of work and achieve specific learning outcomes.
Once you’ve found a lesson, click into the resource and click Assign.
Can’t find what you need? You can find more resources in the Library tab.
For now, click the Task option (we’ll come back to Assessments later), and you’ll be asked to choose some settings.
Assign work
Choose your settings in the options that appear. Select a task or an assessment.
The Assign a new task/ Assign a new assessment window appears.
- Select classes and students: Choose which class(es) to assign the work to. Additionally you can assign the task to specific students.
- Set dates: Select the start and end date and time. By default it is set to 7 days. Select/ deselect option for late submissions.
- Select content: Adjust the content you selected and add instructions. You can change the Task name as well as browse and add additional content from the library.
- Options: Leave these as default, or choose some specific options.

Once you’re ready, click Assign. The work has now been set, and you’ll be taken straight to the live Task.
When you need to look at student progress later, the work you’ve set will now show up within the Tasks tab of your dashboard.
What’s next? Your students need to log in and complete some work.
