School leader reporting

The School leader reporting tool offers School Administrators valuable insights into engagement. This helps school administrators analyse data to identify where EP is being used to its full advantage or where additional training and support might be beneficial.

How to access the new Usage Reporting area

Click on your name in the bottom-left to expand the menu - then click School account:

In this area, as the school administrator you have access to a few different tools. One of them is the new Usage Report area, where you can find key engagement metrics for your teachers and students.

Key features

The school reporting is divided into two core sections:

  • Student Engagement: This report shows student engagement with the work being assigned by teachers, or carried out independently by students. Departments or classes with lower than expected engagement can be targeted for remediation.
  • Teacher Engagement: This report enables Admins to see a breakdown of teacher activity by user, department and class. Admins may identify a whole department where usage is low compared to other departments; or a single teacher within a department where usage is overall high.

Filters:

Use the filters (Subject, Level, Class, Months) at the top of the page to filter the data in all graphs and tables on the page.

Some classes may include multiple subjects or have multiple levels. In these cases, if the subject or level filter is used, the entire class will be included in the results shown in the table.

The terms used in the graphs and tables are defined as followed:

Term Description
Average days logged in The average number of days a student logged in during the given time period.
Lessons started Average lessons that were started by a student during the time frame shown on the graph. Includes lessons that were assigned by a teacher, or selected by the student independently. (Excludes assessment recommendations)
Quizzes Average quizzes started by a student during the month shown on the graph
Assessments Average assessments a student engaged with during the month (Note that all assessments that have been started are marked Completed after the assessment period closes)
Recommendations Average recommendations started: A recommendation is a lesson suggested to a student by EP for further learning after an assessment. This measures the average number of recommendations started by a student during the month shown on the graph.
