Exporting data from Follett Aspen SIS for enrolment on EP

When adding classes and students on EP, you'll need to supply specific information so user accounts can be created.

This article covers the process of exporting student data from Follett Aspen SIS for enrolment on EP.

Export your data

  1. Start by logging in to your Follett Aspen SIS account, and clicking into the Student tab. Click Options, then Query. Choose New.

Here, you'll need to specifiy the group of students you want to enrol on EP. This could be a specific grade or year level, or a specific subject, depending on your subscription with EP.

  2. Once you've chosen your query criteria, click search. The list of students shown now matches your query. See Follet's guide here for help.
  3. The student list is now updated to match your query. Next, organise the list of students using a Field set.

  4. Choose only the fields that EP requires for your school - anything else can be removed. This is typically:
    1. Student first and last name
    2. Student email (or another unique identifier/ID)
    3. Class name and subject
    4. Class grade level
    5. Teacher name and email

  5. Save your field set, and your list is updated. Check this over now - does the student list match what you expect?
  6. Next, you need to export this information as a .csv. To do this, click the print icon at the top of your student list, and choose the csv option. The file that is downloaded is what you need to send to us in the next step!

  7. When you're ready, navigate to our enrolment portal, and submit your file.

You should know: The Enrolment Portal can instantly process files that are submitted in a specific format. For this to occur, you may need to rearrange some of the data in your spreadsheet or rename some columns. Click for full formatting instructions.

Alternatively, drop your file into the portal as is and, when prompted, click Submit to Support team. Our team will process your enrolment on your behalf, and they'll let you know via email as soon as it's complete.

For any questions, contact our support team.
